A Franklin County man died Sunday morning in a fire at a mobile home park on Georgetown Road.
Max Woods Jr., 65, of Capital Mobile Home Estates, was found dead in his home located at lot 21 of the park. The county fire department reported to the scene at 7:29 a.m.
Franklin County Fire Chief Gary Watts said the blaze completely destroyed the mobile home. No one else was inside the home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters have met with a Kentucky State Police arson investigator, Watts said. Arson has been ruled out as the cause, but the fire is still under investigation, Watts said.
Services for Wood will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
