Orthodontist works for free as missionary

Most would consider pulling teeth in 95-degree heat while dogs run between your legs unpleasant at the very least. But orthodontist Dr. Clark Cash calls it a blessing and a gift.

He's made three trips to Latin and South America to do missionary work and offer free dental services to those less fortunate living in rural areas of Guatemala and Brazil.

"I've come away with more than I've probably given them," he said. "It's been tremendously rewarding from a spiritual perspective."

Cash says he's been interested in mission work since an early age.

"When I was growing up, a lot of times we'd have missionaries come through the church and it really fascinated me," he said.
