The 30th annual Capital Expo festival came to an end Saturday, its final day brightened by sunshine that followed a rainy Friday night.
People came throughout the event's three days, despite the occasional rain shower, to taste the food, listen to live music, browse the craft booths and enjoy the rides. The grand finale came with a fireworks show Saturday night.
Stan Salchli, Expo president, said the rain forced the fireworks to be postponed Friday night.
The weather made attendance somewhat low on Friday, he added.
"The crowds were good Friday until it started to rain," he said. "It started raining at about 6:30 p.m. and was still going strong at midnight."
