Bondurant assistant to be Peaks Mill principal

By BESS HINSON State Journal Staff Writer Published:

Two weeks ago, Assistant Principal Sharon Crews at Bondurant Middle School had full-time practice as a principal.

But there was little need for Crews to alter her routine while Principal Greg Gaby accompanied students on a trip to Washington, D.C., she said.

"When I first began the job as assistant principal, (Gaby) said to me, 'I will have you ready for a principalship,' and he gave me many responsibilities," Crews said.

Practice has paid off. Crews will assume the role of principal at Peaks Mill Elementary School beginning July 1.

Franklin County Superintendent Monte Chance said he looks forward to working with Crews.
