Two Frankfort men were arrested at a local apartment complex Saturday morning for allegedly using a handgun to rob and assault one the building's residents.

Frankfort Police quickly apprehended the two men, who've been charged with first-degree robbery, a class B felony which carries a prison sentence of one to five years, police spokesman Steve Clark said.

According to police, Carl Dewayne Dupin, 25, and Dustin W. Griffith, 23, robbed another man at gunpoint after luring him out of his apartment with the promise of "girls." The two men were to be taken to the Franklin County Jail Saturday evening, Clark said.

The robbery took place at Ashwood Apartments near Ridgeview Drive where Dupin and Griffith were arrested about two hours after police were notified, Clark said.

Reportedly, the alleged victim, Osma'n O. Villeda, knew at least one of the assailants as a neighbor in the apartment complex, according to Clark.
