A 67-year-old Frankfort man has been arrested on charges of sexually abusing at least two females under age 12 with the acts ranging in time from 1972 through 2003.
Darrell P. Everman, of 319 Magnolia Ave., was indicted and arrested Wednesday on charges of first-degree rape, first-degree attempted rape, incest, first-degree sexual abuse and first degree sodomy of a child under age 12.
The indictment alleges Everman committed his first offense of raping a female child under age 12 on or about July 6, 1972. Everman is accused of repeating the same offense again on or about July 6, 1985.
The Franklin County grand jury also charges that on or about Jan. 1, 1998, and July 30, 2003, Everman committed the offense of first-degree sodomy when he "engaged in deviate sexual intercourse with a female child less than 12 years of age by forcible compulsion" and committed the offense of first-degree sexual abuse when he "subjected a female child to sexual contact by forcible compulsion."
Everman is currently being held at the Franklin County Regional Jail.
