By GAYLE COULTER State Journal Staff Writer Published:

A federal grand jury has indicted Russ Campbell on additional charges that he used a 12-year-old female to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing child pornography.

The Franklin County constable is already under federal indictment on charges for possession of child pornography, conspiracy to distribute child pornography and distribution of child pornography

Campbell was also indicted Dec. 22 by a Franklin County grand jury on charges that he raped, sodomized and sexually abused a female under 12 and used a minor in a sexual performance.

Campbell is currently being held without bond at the Fayette County Detention Center.

The U.S. Attorney's Office asked a federal grand jury to issue a superceding indictment Thursday afternoon so 17 additional counts could be added to the original three-count indictment.
