Body found in burned car at park

An autopsy is being performed here today to determine the cause of death and identification of a body discovered in a Sunday night car fire at the Capitol View Park.

The cause of death and identificaty of the victim will be determined by the autopsy, police say.

Police say they don't know if the person died in the car fire, or before.

A police spokesman said the burning car was discovered by a passer-by around 10:57 p.m. Sunday. A motorist driving on the East-West Connector called the Frankfort Fire Department after spotting a burning vehicle, the spokesman said.
