A fire destroyed the home of Ray and Gaye Bullock Friday afternoon.
The Franklin County Fire Department was dispatched to 879 Union Ridge Road around 2 p.m., according to the fire report.
Battalion Chief Paul Hellard said firefighters fought the blaze for 2 1/2 hours before finally extinguishing it.
"We were concerned with making sure the fire didn't spread to any other homes," he said.
Hellard said the couple was watching a movie when flames broke out, and there were no injuries as a result of the fire.
