A Frankfort man charged with stealing flat screen TVs from stores in three counties was arrested Wednesday.
A tip led the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Seth Witherby, 34, for shoplifting in Anderson, Scott and Franklin counties, Sheriff Pat Melton says. His accomplice is still at large.
“They were going into department stores, and walking out the front door with flat screen TVs,” Melton said.
When deputies went to arrest Seth Witherby Wednesday morning, they found him with his brother, Gabriel Witherby, who had two warrants out for his arrest on separate charges. At Gabriel Witherby’s suggestion, Melton said, the brothers fled.
After a short foot chase Wednesday morning, a sheriff’s deputy arrested one and a Frankfort Police officer nabbed the other. Seth Witherby was arrested at 444 Westwood Drive.
In Frankfort, Seth Witherby has a shoplifting charge stemming from and incident at Walmart and a second shoplifting charge pending at Kmart, Melton said.
Both are lodged at Franklin County Regional Jail without bond, according to the jail website.
Tuesday night another duo was arrested after a search warrant led deputies to a stolen firearm and about a pound of marijuana, Melton says.
Chris Isaacs, 25, and Stephanie Miller, 40, were both arrested at 217 Landings Drive where deputies found a number of prescription drugs, cash, a stolen firearm and about a pound of marijuana, Melton said.
Isaacs was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon and receiving stolen property.
He is held at Franklin County Regional Jail on a $20,000 bond.
Miller was released by this morning, according to the jail website.
Both have trafficking in oxycodone and hydrocodone charges pending, Melton says.
