UPDATE: Argument leads to stabbing

A Frankfort man has been charged with second-degree assault after an argument ended in a stabbing early Thursday morning, according to Frankfort Police. 

Police say 24-year-old William Barker stabbed Donte Wakefield, 40, of Frankfort, in the hip – sending Wakefield to Frankfort Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released, Maj. Fred Deaton says. Barker was also treated and released from the hospital.

The altercation took place around 1:30 a.m. Thursday in the street near The Brick Alley, 325 St. Clair St., he said.
