Humane Society food/supply drive
The Franklin County Humane Society is having a food/supply drive Saturday at Tractor Supply Company in Frankfort off Versailles Road.
The Humane Society will also offer portable adoption for cats for an adoption fee of $15.
The food/supply drive and cat adoption will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Singing Bridge closing for repairs
Starting March 1, the Singing Bridge will be closed for several months for repairs and repainting.
The bridge, which connects Bridge Street to St. Clair Street, is scheduled to close to both vehicles and pedestrians at 6 a.m. March 1, and will remain closed until late summer, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced today.
Motorists are asked to follow the signed detour via U.S. 60, the Capital Avenue bridge and West Main Street.
Crews from G-Force Contracting of Campbell, Ohio, will be painting the steel truss and making some minor repairs to the bridge deck.
G-Force Contracting will offer free shuttle services to pedestrians needing special assistance. To receive this service, contact Frankfort Transit at 875-8565.
KYTC said the start date and duration of the project may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays. For updates on travel information, call 511 or visit 511.ky.gov.
Installation services, dinner Saturday
First Corinthian Baptist Church invites the public to installation services for Rev. Leslie W Whitlock at First United Methodist Church, 211 Washington St., Saturday at 4 p.m.
Dinner will follow.
Learn how to protect your land
Tuesday from 5-6:30 p.m., Woods and Waters Land Trust will host a special meeting in Paul Sawyier Public Library’s Sower Room for landowners interested in learning about options for protecting their land.
The meeting will include a slideshow, a question and answer session and the opportunity for one-on-one discussion with board members. All landowners are welcome.
Free yoga, devotions Sunday
The Frankfort Yoga Studio invites the community to the monthly free yoga class with interfaith devotions and discussion Sunday. The free yoga class begins at 9:30 a.m., devotions at 10:30 and discussion, fellowship and refreshments at 11 a.m.
