KSU choir sings Sunday

The Kentucky State University Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Carl Smith, will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday as part of the Black History Month Celebration at First Corinthian Baptist Church, 214 Murray St. 

The concert is free and open to the public.

Women’s chorus sings Sunday at FCC

The Kentucky Disciples Women’s Chorus, composed of women from Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) congregations across Kentucky, will perform at the 10:50 a.m. worship service Sunday at First Christian Church, 316 Ann St. 

Dr. Carl Smith, professor of music at Kentucky State University, will conduct the choir and Hollis Rosenstein, music director at Bridgeport Christian Church, is the accompanist.

The women gathered in Frankfort Friday evening and have rehearsed all weekend in preparation for Sunday morning’s service. 

The public is invited to attend the concert.
