2 charged in home burglary

Two Frankfort men were arrested Sunday as they were leaving a Riverbend house while carrying more than $2,600 in stolen property, according to a news release from police.

Police spotted John Thompson, 32, and Kevin Jones, 43, after curtains moved and the lights went out in a residence where a burglary in progress was reported around 11:30 p.m., according to Frankfort Police. 

The suspects were armed, the news release says.

The stolen property included firearms, a flat screen TV, a Play Station 3, a camera, jewelry and cash, according to police.

Thompson and Jones are each charged with burglary and carrying a concealed weapon. They are lodged at Franklin County Regional Jail on $25,200 bonds.
