A Frankfort man was arrested Tuesday night for drug possession and trafficking within 1,000 feet of a school.
A Frankfort Police officer stopped 20-year-old Eric Jockers on East Main Street around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday for driving without a license plate.
The officer searched the vehicle after detecting “a strong odor of marijuana” coming from the car, Maj. Fred Deaton said in a news release.
Officers found baggies, scales, an unspecified quantity of marijuana and more than $1,000 in cash during the search.
Jockers was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, trafficking a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school, driving without registration plates and failure to maintain insurance.
He is lodged at Franklin County Regional Jail on $5,000 bond.
