21-year-old charged with 9 counts of abusing a minor

A Frankfort man faces nine charges of sexual abuse of a child under 16 after he was indicted by a grand jury Thursday.

Frankfort Police had charged Nicholas Swan, 21, of 100 Strawberry Lane, with sexual abuse, tampering with physical evidence, unlawful use of electronic means and six other charges alleging sexual abuse of a minor, according to court records.

Those indicted by the Franklin County grand jury Thursday included:

>Malarie Coleman, 21, of 35 Ashwood Court #6, for two counts of assault around June 7 and being a persistent felony offender. She caused physical injury to Elizabeth Roby and Bryant Clay, according to the indictment.

She was previously convicted of promoting contraband in Franklin County in 2010, according to court records.

>Matthew Strickland, 24, who is incarcerated at the Franklin County Regional Jail, for criminal possession of forged instrument and being a persistent felony offender.

He was previously convicted for receiving stolen property in Franklin County in 2007.

>Rickie Reed, 62, of 147 Willis Drive, for criminal mischief.

Reed allegedly damaged property belonging to John Jenkins, causing a loss of more than $1,000 around July 5.

>Nathan Moore, 49, of Lexington, for speeding, receiving stolen property, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia June 26.

>Jeffery Phillips, 19, detained at the jail, for burglary of property belonging to David Clark.
