The Simon House recently used the $2,000 it was given from Fiscal Court to purchase 14 new mattresses for its residents.
The 2012-13 fiscal year is the first year Simon House was included in the Franklin County budget.
“Our ladies and their children will be sleeping better tonight,” Simon House Executive Director Pamela McCalla said in a statement announcing the new mattresses. “Thank you Franklin County for your help in supporting those who are temporarily without a home!”
The mattresses were delivered Monday.
