BENEFIT SHOOT SET FOR SATURDAY
The second annual Beka’s Toppers benefit shoot is set for Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at the Elk Creek Hunt Club, 1860 Georgetown Road, Owenton.
The event features a sporting clays tournament ($65 for 100 targets) and a 3D archery shoot for $25. There will also be a raffle and silent auction.
The event provides teens, pre-teens and children battling cancer with hats, wigs and scarves, and is in memory of Beka Gaines, who was 17 when she died from cancer on Oct. 16, 2011. For more information, visit www.bekastoppers.org.
L.I.F.E. HOUSE SUPPLY DRIVE AUG. 25
L.I.F.E. House for Animals will hold a supply drive from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Walmart Aug. 25.
