DMD DATA SYSTEMS ON FASTEST-GROWING LIST
Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 5000 list included 47 Kentucky companies this year, with one from Frankfort.
DMD Data Systems, with its corporate office in Frankfort, is being recognized for the fourth time on the list, which provides an annual ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. DMD Data Systems was on the list in 2007, 2010 and 2011.
The number of Kentucky companies being recognized has increased in the last three years, with 46 in 2011 and 44 in 2010.
To be on the list, companies must have been generating revenue by the first week of the starting calendar year, show four calendar years of sales, be U.S.-based, privately held and independent.
Companies are ranked according to percentage revenue growth throughout a four-year period, according to a press release.
“This shows real economic growth and success for Kentucky, with 47 of our companies making this exclusive ranking,” Gov. Steve Beshear said in the release. “I’m proud of the Commonwealth’s presence in Inc. Magazine’s top 5000 list, and I hope we can continue to add to the total, as we have over the past three years.”
