HUMMINGBIRD PROGRAM SATURDAY
Carroll Young, a local ruby throated hummingbird enthusiast, will present a program about the birds beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cove Spring Park.
Carroll will share his knowledge and experience – fact, fancy and fiction – about these “flying jewels” and how to attract them and help them as they prepare for their annual journey south.
Participants are encouraged to share their own experiences and tips as well.
The program, sponsored by the Department of Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites, is free and open to all ages. Participants should meet at the shelter at the main park on the east side of U.S. 127 near the Thornhill Bypass/421.
All are encouraged to bring cameras.
For more information, call the park office at 875-8574.
