Lexington Police have arrested Carl Elovitz Jr., whom authorities are investigating for the possible fraudulent sale of advertising for the 41st District Basketball Tournament.

Elovitz, 60, was lodged in the Fayette County Detention Center. An anonymous tip on Elovitz’s location led to his arrest.

Elovitz allegedly claimed to represent “The Athletic Department.” He has outstanding arrest warrants in Fayette, Woodford, Jessamine and Anderson counties.

Frankfort Police are asking that anyone who may have purchased advertising from Elovitz to call Detective Herb Wilson at 502-875-8523.
