Traffic is detoured on Interstate 64 eastbound because of a crash between a UPS truck and a car.
Franklin County Sheriff’s Office officials said a car began to slide on ice while driving on the ramp onto I-64 at mile marker 53 on the west side of town.
The car spun out of control and eventually into the path of the UPS truck, officials said, causing the two to crash.
Officials said the UPS driver then lost control, left the roadway and hit a rock cliff.
No one was injured.
The left lane of eastbound I-64 is closed while crews clean up debris. The ramp at exit 53 is also closed.
Sheriff Pat Melton said the crash should be cleared and all lanes back open by around 12:15 p.m.
