The acoUstiKats moved on in NBC’s “The Sing-Off” Thursday after landing in the bottom two Wednesday.
The University of Kentucky a cappella group is one of eight remaining musical groups competing for a recording contract and $100,000. The acoUstiKats created some buzz Thursday not only with their singing, but also after bass Mike Owens proposed to his girlfriend on national television.
The a cappella group will appear on the next episode of “The Sing-Off,” which airs 9 p.m. Monday.
The acoUstiKats include two Franklin County High School graduates, Patrick Banks and Nick Johnson.
Also in the group is Evan Pulliam, son of Steve Pulliam, formerly of Frankfort, and his wife Diana Evans.
