Storm sirens a false alarm

A technician accidentally activated the emergency warning sirens Friday morning while performing routine maintenance, Frankfort/Franklin County deputy director of emergency management, said.

The sirens went off for a few minutes around 9:40 a.m. today.

Boil water advisory lifted

The boil water advisory for Farmdale Water District was lifted at 8:30 a.m. today, Jeff Fogg, Frankfort/Franklin County deputy director of emergency management, said.

The 48-hour advisory was issued for the Huntington Woods area Wednesday after repair work had been performed on some water lines.
