State Journal staff report, Published:

Traffic is backed up on inbound Versailles Road, near the East Main Street intersection, after an injury crash.

Frankfort Police Capt. Robert Warfel said a driver didn’t yield to oncoming traffic when pulling out of Farmer’s Bank around 1 p.m.

Their car was hit by another vehicle, with two people inside.

All three people involved were taken to the hospital with what appears to be non life-threatening injuries.

Crews are working to get the crash cleaned up. Warfel said all lanes should be back open within the hour.

  • It is amazing there are not accidents like this at least once a day, given the number of drivers who seem to feel that traffic is supposed to yield to them when they want to turn onto the road.
