  • The only reason that this guy was a convicted felon was because he had been previously arrested for drugs.  Besides, out of all of these weapons that are confiscated from people possessing/small time sales of drugs, how many police shootouts have there been around here in the last half century?  None.  That is right, the guns that they have are to protect themselves from each other, not the police.  There hasn't been a single gun drawn on an officer trying to arrest someone for a drug crime ever.

  • ...and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon...

Anybody here notice that there was a violation of existing gun laws?  Anybody notice that it was dealt with? This certainly is a better way than more gun laws. Thanks Pat.

  • capitalcitizen: "Why is it that you feel so compelled to defend people who are thugs?"

I have never defended or even agreed with a single thing that you say...how can you say that I defend people like you?

So, what is YOUR drug...sugar, caffeine, alcohol, tobacco, cholesterol, fat, gambling, obsessive complusive eating?  All of them?  What are you being all righteously indignant about?  I will bet that you are one messed up little puppy.

And if you will really take note, I post to a wide variety of issues that I feel strongly about...but most those concerning raising the awareness of hypocrisy, bullying, and unfairness.

  • BU - obviously, I wasn't the one who flunked the 5th grade.  You can't come up with any other argument except to defend drug dealers and criminals.  You deflect, but you continue to harp on one thing.  Why is it that you feel so compelled to defend people who are thugs?

Another BIG SHOW Pat picked up three nickel and dime pushers, why does he not stop the drugs before they get to Franklin County?

Yeah, if Pat Melton had any stones he and his posse would ride up to Chicago or Detroit and go after those guys who are selling to these nickle and dime guys...just like Stallone would.  But that would be dangerous as those guys have guns to repell such cowboy antics...and they couldn't get the confidential informants to take all of the risks that way.

"Bruno, but you defend also the fruit that isn't low hanging. Why don't you & Gayle go express your outrage over a woman getting a lesser charge for beating a child..."

Well, that is your overly simplistic and warped interpretation...you obviously were hurt when you flunked the 5th grade this year.

There hasn't been ANY fruit picked around here that wasn't laying on the ground...name one.  That is because there aren't any.

The current Sheriff's office is not using all of the space that it has been renting in Prevention Park.  One can walk in there any time and there will be just one deputy at the desk flirting with a couple of women staff and maybe a couple of deputies outside smoking cigarettes.

  • 'Pat Mahal' LOL

  • @capitalcitizen  if the taxpayers purchase the home pro building for 600,000, how much MORE are we going to spend to renovate that building?  I was a customer when that business was open and I am telling you right now it will have to be renovated. Perhaps the sheriff should try to stay within his budget a couple of years and then ask for a Pat Mahal.

If you keep your deputies on the road why do you need that much space?

  • Bruno, but you defend also the fruit that isn't low hanging. Why don't you & Gayle go express your outrage over a woman getting a lesser charge for beating a child That's because your tunnel vision vendetta towards this Sheriff's Office has blinded you to the real injustices in this community. Your comments always have thin veils. One of you defends drug use & drug dealers while the other is just a disgruntled former employee of the S.O. What a bizarre couple you make here.

  • Another example: Picking the low hanging fruit...groundfalls even.

  • Example: Shooting fish in a barrel
