Lawrenceburg man identified as victim in fatal crash

Witnesses say crash might have been caused by a medical issue

State Journal staff report, Published:

Police have identified the man who died Friday in a crash on East Todd Street as David Rose, 57, of Lawrenceburg.

Frankfort Police Capt. Robert Warfel said investigators aren’t sure if Rose’s death is a result of the accident or if the accident is the result of a medical emergency.

Rose was driving a truck that sideswiped another vehicle and then hit a tree, Warfel said.

Witnesses at the scene said it appeared the driver of the truck might have had a medical issue, which resulted in the crash, Warfel said.

Police are investigating the cause, and crews were on scene Friday to reconstruct the crash.

  • Live around the block and I heard this accident.  I am going with the idea of medical emergency.  Heard no brakes at all.  Just a big loud boom.  Sounded like a big metal box fell of a truck.
