As cute as this little girl is, no child should be encouraged or applauded for sitting on sculptures in a public place, unless, of course, the people at Rebecca Ruth said it was o.k.
I see far too many people who don't respect statuary and art in the world today - they think nothing (specifcally-the U.K. Wildcat mascot a few years back) of climbing up onto the Lincoln bronze in the Capitol Rotunda or place their children on statues in other public areas. What they don't consider is the fragility of older sculpture and the cost of preservation and upkeep.
