On her way home from vacation, a woman had thousands of dollars worth of items stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in front of a Frankfort home, police said.

Now authorities are asking for the public’s help in solving the crime.

Frankfort Police Capt. Robert Warfel said the woman stopped around midnight July 10 to visit a family member at a Lindsey Avenue home.

When she returned to her vehicle about an hour later, she discovered the passenger compartment and the trunk had been rummaged through.

Warfel said the suspect stole $800 in cash, multiple bags, purses, laptop computers, cell phones, clothing, collectibles and other personal items.
