Police say they don't expect any major traffic problems during a visit by former President Bill Clinton.
He will give a speech at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Frankfort Convention Center. It's the first event in a string of campaign stops on behalf of his wife, U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, a candidate in the Democratic presidential primary.
Maj. Fred Deaton of the Frankfort Police Department said any impact to local traffic will be minimal and temporary.
Clinton is also scheduled to speak in Paris at 12:15 p.m., Maysville at 2:30 p.m. and Morehead at 5:45 p.m.
According to the Associated Press, Clinton's rival, U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, has the lead among pledged delegates, 1,404-1,249, while the former first lady has an advantage among superdelegates, 249-213. The total delegates are 1,617 for Obama and 1,498 for Clinton; 2,024 are needed.
The Kentucky primary is May 20 and Kentucky has 60 delegates and eight super delegates.
The winner will face presumptive Republican nominee U.S. Sen. John McCain.
