Services for Edna Mae Jenkins White, 97, of 4323 Devils Hollow Road, will be held in Rogers Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. Mrs. White died at her home Sunday after an illness. She is to be buried in the Frankfort Cemetery. The widow of Edgar (Ed) White and the daughter of the late James and Mary Belle Smith Jenkins, Mrs. White was one of the oldest living members of the First Christian Church. Mrs. White was a former bookkeeper for Marcus Furniture when it was located on Broadway and in 1953 operated the first Dairy Queen in Frankfort. She was a member of the Franklin County Farm Bureau, the Low Vision Center in New York and the Southern States Co-op. Survivors include 3 nieces; several cousins, and some very special friends including Lowell and Janis Goins, Anita Harrod, Ruth Blackwell, Reva Lathrem, Ann Strong, Diana Stewart and Charlene Mohr.
Bearers will be Lowell Goins, Mike Goins, Brian Burge, Douglas Quire, Jerry Samples, Tim Strong and Cecil Mohr. Flowers are welcomed while memorial contributions are suggested to either the Hospice of the Bluegrass or a charity of choice. Comments
