Chelsea Clinton campaigns for her mother, Sen. Hillary Clinton who is one of the Democratic presidential candidates, in front of around around 100 people at the opening of the Hillary Clinton Headquarters on Democrat Drive Thursday.
Despite the rain, about 100 supporters met Chelsea Clinton at the local campaign office of her mother, U.S. Sen. Hillary Clinton, a Democratic presidential candidate.
Chelsea spoke for about 3 minutes and said she was excited to see so many people who are passionate about supporting Hillary.
"As young woman and as a Democrat I know my mom is the strongest and most progressive candidate," she said.
Afterwards, she stayed for about 20 minutes to shake hands and pose for photos with supporters.
Several local Democratic leaders were on hand, including Sen. Julian Carroll, D-Frankfort; Rep. Carl Rollins, D-Midway; developer Mike Davenport and Franklin County Magistrate Don Sturgeon.

"My point exactly - voting has become a waste of time. There is no one to vote for in this election. But at least I'm going to show that I'm unhappy with the situation and not just going to vote for one to keep the other out. That is what many voters are going to do. I've heard it said. I will not fall into that trap."
One of my high school teachers, who made sure you learned other things besides what was in a textbook, told us: If you DON'T vote then you DON'T have a right to complain. I think about that when I consider not voting. A friend of mine's grandfather told him the same thing.

It's time for a new era - the Bushes and Clintons have had their chance and now it's time for a new regime. Hillary is making herself look silly by continuing on since there is no way she can win the delegate count, even with Michigan and Florida. The Clintons think they are entitled to win, at any cost, but Obama is the classy one. It would be lovely to have a nice, young family in the White House again. Congratulations Obama!!
The damage she is causing, is not only damaging her budget and reputation, it is as well damaging the reputation of the party and the chances for the democrats to win against McCain in November!
I think Billary is going to continue this all the way thru to the convention. She cannot believe that what she assumed would be handed to her on a silver plate has not happened. All her arguments are getting old. Obama will have no problem winning the big states, independent voters and some republicans but she is just the same divisive politican as George W and it will not be good for this country. Time to heal please.

write-ins do not win, why even waste the time?

I think I'm going to do a write in. There is really no one suitable running for President. It is really sad. There is no reason to go to the polls except to vote against the candidates and with this, you will have to do a write in. It frightens me the shape of our country and it's future.

i will root for McCain before Obama

It's over for Hillary, she is rooting for McCain, that way she will have something to do in 2012. She does not care about the Democrat party itself, she is all about the power. She has already been the vice president under Bill so she surely wouldn't be interested in that powerless job. She is already looking at 2012 and if Obama wins it would likely be impossible for her to be the democrat nominee in 2012. Unless of course after four years Obama does not pass out enough goodies for the people with their hands out. Obama will never come here, he has nothing to gain. All he has to do is keep his and Michelles mouth shut and keep screaming CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN. He really does think that the masses of people he is targeting believe he will be able to change things. Give them more, make government bigger to take care of them. Make them more dependent on government for their livelihood.
