ROAD RACING

Thurston, Lawhorn win Activate America 5K

Daniel Thurston won the men's division and Robin Lawhorn was the women's division winner of the Frankfort YMCA Activate America 5K Run/Walk Saturday.
Thurston won with a time of 16 minutes, 43.18 seconds, and Lawhorn's winning time was 19:44.97.
Complete results for the race appear on Page B4.

WESTERN HILLS

Football team holding yard sale Saturday

The WHHS football team will be holding a yard sale Saturday, May 17, at the Choateville Ruritan Club from 8 a.m.-2 p.m., rain or shine.

Tables for rent are $10 each. For more information call 319-5258.

Lady Wolverine camp June 16-20

The Lady Wolverine Youth Basketball Camp will be June 16-20 at the WHHS gym from 8-11 a.m. each day.

The camp is for girls who will be in grades 1-8 next school year. The cost is $60 and includes a T-shirt.

The camp will teach basic fundamentals along with team concepts used in the Lady Wolverine basketball program, and athletes will compete in skill work along with various game situations.

Outstanding times for the first place finishers. To compete at those levels takes alot of hard work and determination. Congratulations to Daniel and Robin.
