Frankfort 13s eliminated from state tournament

MOUNT STERLING - The Frankfort 13-year-old All-Stars were eliminated from the East Kentucky State Babe Ruth tournament Saturday with a 7-4 loss to Ashland.

Frankfort had seven hits in the game including a single and a home run by Jordan Moore. Also getting hits were Landon Kays, David Current, Nick Cumpston and James Maddox with a single each.

Jordan Taylor, Current and Moore pitched for Frankfort.

SE Lexington 11, Frankfort 1
Frankfort fell hard in the first round of the tournament to Southeastern Lexington, 11-1.

Frankfort has just two hits in the game " both were singles by Conner Meyer.

Taylor, Current and Devin Rowland pitched.

Frankfort 12, Mount Sterling 0
Frankfort came back in its second game with a vengence, thumping Mount Sterling 12-0.

Cumpston and Matt Tincher combined to throw a no-hitter.

Moore and Current led Frankfort with a triple and a single each and Kris Perry, Taylor, Taylor Lile and Rowland each had two singles. Also getting a hit for Frankfort was Maddox with a single.
