Police are investigating a fatal auto accident that occurred Friday on Broadway near Ann Street.

Edith Kuryloski, 74 of Frankfort, died Friday afternoon when her blue 1995 Toyota Camry struck a parked car, drove onto the sidewalk and hit a concrete wall, according to police.

Kuryloski's vehicle was traveling eastbound on Broadway when it struck a parked red truck or SUV. Her car also struck a Ford Taurus near St. Clair and then continued traveling eastbound on the sidewalk, according to the accident report.

The driver of the Ford Taurus, Wayne Cammack, 65 of Frankfort, was not injured.

The Camry came to rest after striking two light posts and a concrete wall at approximately 4:50 p.m., according to police.

The Franklin County Coroner and the Frankfort Police are investigating the cause of the collision and death. She died at Frankfort Regional Medical Center, according to Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.

I was in my truck directly behind both vehicles. The entire scene was crazy. Bizarre.

Big Thomas Lee, why does it matter where the coroner was at the time of the accident? Your disgusted statement makes no sense. They bring the body to the morgue and put it on ice. He could be on vacation and come back in a month or so and still have a well preserved body to work with in order to determine the actual cause of death. He is investigating according to the article. Nobody is taking credit for any findings yet. Looks to me like you have some beef with the police and the coroner, lol.

I also saw the aftermath. You're right. It looked like the car came down the hill from the church at a fast speed directly into the light post. Very tragic. My condolences to the family.

I saw the aftermath of this accident. That car was smashed into that light post at an odd angle. I wonder if the lady had a medical issue while she was driving and subsequently crashed.
