Franklin County sheriff's deputies arrested a Bald Knob man for allegedly shooting his uncle. Ernest Lee Hensley, 52, of 6525 Bald Knob Road, was charged with first-degree assault after allegedly shooting his uncle twice in the leg after a family dispute Wednesday night. Franklin County Sheriff Steve Clark said deputies responded to a call about 6:18 at Hensley's residence, where Hensley's uncle had been shot with a .22 caliber pistol. Clark said deputies spoke with the uncle, whose name was not released, at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. The uncle's injuries do not appear to be serious, Clark said. According to Clark, it was unclear what the two were fighting over, but alcohol was involved. Comments
