NO. 3 FRANKFORT vs. NO. 4 DANVILLE
at Sower Field
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.
Records: Frankfort (7-1); Danville (7-2)
Last week: Frankfort defeated Eminence 30-0; Danville defeated Washington Co. 41-21
FHS notes: The Panthers are riding a four-game winning streak as their season comes to a close, but Danville will present a challenge Frankfort hasn't faced since its overtime loss to Franklin County in Week 4. The Panthers just slipped by the Admirals last season, even without standout E.J. Fields who is now at the University of Kentucky. The Panthers will need to get on the board early and often against a vengeful Admiral team. Running back Quan Weaver surpassed 1,000 yard rushing last week (1,036) and has nine touchdowns. Quarterback Keri Metcalf will return to the lineup this week after sitting out last week due to an ejection against Western Hills the week before. Metcalf is 23-of-59 passing this season with 629 yards and 11 touchdowns. Most of those passes have gone to receiver Dwight Tillman. Tillman has 20 catches for 503 yards and 12 touchdowns.

A look at Danville
Mascot: Admiral
Class: 2A
Key players: Antwoine Simon (RB/LB), Trae Grey (QB/DB), Derrik Henderson (WR/DB), Kruz Warner (WR/DB), Tevin Raines (TE/LB)
Head coach: Sam Harp
Last year's record: 9-3 (Lost to Bardstown 23-13 in second round of playoffs)
Points scored: 305
Points allowed: 216
Notes: Revenge will be the word of the week for the Admirals. Last season, the Panthers marched into Danville and won 20-19 with a late touchdown by now-graduated Jordan Morgan. Danville is riding a five-game winning streak after back-to-back losses to George Rogers Clark and in-county rival Boyle Co. early in the season. The Admirals have spread out their offense this season, relying a little more on the pass than in years past. Danville has seven different receivers with more than 150 yards this season and each one has at least one touchdown. Leading the way are Kruz Warner and Derrik Henderson. Warner has 16 receptions for 362 yards and one touchdown while Henderson has 13 catches for 379 yards and three touchdowns. Quarterback Trae Grey runs the passing game. This season he is 88-of-165 passing with 1,935 yards and 17 touchdowns. Antwoine Simon leads the running attack with 1,055 yards on 159 carries and has 11 touchdowns. Linebacker Tevin Raines will be a force to be reckoned with up the middle. He has 45 tackles this season with 33 assists.

WESTERN HILLS VS. LAFAYETTE
at Western Hills
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.
Radio: 1490-AM, pregame show at 7 p.m.
Records: Western Hills (5-3); Lafayette (6-2)
Last week: Western Hills lost to North Oldham 17-7; Lafayette defeated Dunbar 41-0
WHHS notes: The Wolverines took a shot to the heart last week as they saw their hopes of their first district title slip away. WHHS will want to finish the season strong against Lafayette this week and Anderson Co. next week in order to prepare for its first round playoff game at Elizabethtown. The Wolverines looked good on offense last week and played well on defense, but turnovers " like a pair of drive-killing fumbles against North Oldham last week " will be costly against a stingy Lafayette defense. The Generals are not a high-scoring team but just like their 7-0 win over the Flyers earlier this season, it only takes one mistake. Before last week's game, quarterback Dylan Curry was 74-of-140 passing with 935 yards and seven touchdown passes. The Wolverines will look for another workhorse performance out of Justin Wright in the backfield. Before last week, Wright had run for 471 yards and six touchdowns. Receivers Darius Reed and Chris Pugh will have to step up this week and be ready for short passes and screens to create space around Eric Shaw at linebacker, the Generals' leading tackler.

A look at Lafayette
Mascot: General
Class: 6A
Key players: Eric Shaw (RB/LB), Gary Demus (WR/DB), Matt Britt (QB)
Head coach: Rob Sayre
Last year's record: 8-3 (Lost to Dunbar 8-0 in the first round of the playoffs)
Points scored: 168
Points allowed: 81
Notes: The Generals are coming off a huge win over struggling Dunbar this past week and are looking to continue to ride that momentum into the final week of the season against perennial power Trinity (Lou.). Eric Shaw is the do-it-all player for the Generals this season. He leads the team's ground attack with 646 yards on 98 carries and has six touchdowns. Shaw is also the leading receiver with 21 catches for 257 yards and three more touchdowns. He's also second on the team in tackles with 23 along with 19 assists. Gary Demus is also a leading receiver on the team " matter of fact, he is a leading receiver on both sides of the ball. He has eight catches for 112 yards on offense and has five interceptions for 79 yards on defense. Quarterback Matt Britt is 49-of-96 passing this season with 300 yards, four interceptions and six touchdownss.

FRANKLIN CO. VS. EAST JESSAMINE
at The Jungle
Kickoff: 7:30 p.m.
Records: Franklin Co. (4-5); East Jessamine (4-4)
Last week: Franklin Co. lost to Harrison Co. 13-7 in overtime; East Jessamine lost to Boyle Co. 53-0
FCHS notes: The Flyers lost a heartbreaker last week against Harrison Co. and will be looking for redemption this week. FCHS will be in an interesting situation as its season comes to a close. East Jessamine will also be the Flyers' first round playoff opponent and the Flyers will have a bye week next week to prepare. Friday's game means nothing as far as playoff implications go, but everything as far as playoff preparation goes. The Flyers will need good play out of their offense, which has been sluggish in its last two games. Quarterback Sean Thompson has thrown for 1,484 yards this season (139-of-282) but has 14 interceptions and 15 touchdowns. Most of those passes have gone to standout DeRon Hicks. He has 47 catches for 748 yards and 10 touchdowns. The running back duties have been split between three backs the second half of the season. Leland Robinson has only played in two games this season but has 189 yards on 30 carries. Jeremy Gardner has 37 carries for 182 yards and three touchdowns. Jordan Moore has 36 carries for 206 yards and three touchdowns.

This game will be a playoff preview for the Jaguars, who were beaten by the Flyers 25-15 last season. The offense is led by quarterback Zac Cantrell has thrown for 1,049 yards this season on 67-of-148 passing and has nine interceptions and six touchdowns.
