Brass Hat, an 8-year-old gelding owned by Fred Bradley and trained by Buff Bradley of Frankfort, will run at 5:20 p.m. Saturday in the United Nations Stakes at Monmouth Park in New Jersey. The United Nations Stakes, a $750,000 race on the turf, will be shown on TVG. Stewart Elliott will ride Brass Hat. Brass Hat won his last outing, the $100,000 Louisville Handicap May 22 at Churchill Downs. GOLF Clinics scheduled at Juniper The Juniper Hill Junior Golf Clinic will be July 7-10. The clinic will meet from 10-11 a.m. for children ages 11 and older, and from 11 a.m.-noon for children ages 8-10. The cost is $35 each. Class size limited for each session. The Next Level Junior Golf Camp will be July 7-10 from 1-4 p.m. The camp is limited to only those juniors looking to play high school golf this season or summer junior tournaments. The cost is $35. There will be a 5:30-7 p.m. class for women only and a 7-8:30 p.m. class for men and women. This week long program is guaranteed to turn you into a golfer in only one week (almost). The cost is $50 for the week. The Chenault & Hoge City Junior Championship is scheduled for Tuesday, July 14 at Juniper Hill Golf Course. The entry fee is $10, and sign-ups are available at the pro shop. RUNNING Buffalo Chase 5K is Saturday The eighth annual Buffalo Chase 5K steps off at 8 a.m. Saturday, July 4 on the grounds of Buffalo Trace Distillery, Wilkinson Blvd. The entire 5K course will be run on the grounds of the distillery and Lewis Ferry Road. Registration is $20 per person. Overall first, second and third prizes for both males and females are $1,000, $500 and $250 respectively. Awards will also be given to the top three finishers in each age division. All participants will receive a T-shirt and gift bag. Race-day registration begins at 7 a.m. in front of the gift shop. Registration forms are available at Buffalo Trace Distillery as well as numerous other Frankfort area locations.
