The Franklin County High School drama department will stage Fame, the non-musical version, at 7 p.m. Nov. 5-7 in the school auditorium. Tickets are $5 general admission with school-age children admitted free. District senior passes will be honored. Although billed as the non-musical version, there is still plenty of singing, dancing and instrumentals as actors showcase a variety of talents. The play is the story of students in New York City hoping to make it – be accepted and succeed – in the School of Performing Arts. Cast members are Molly Davis, Rachel Anderson, Hal Rhorer, Nicholas Scott, Larkin Tyler, Emily Welch, Themira Pirez, Brandon Fain, Jerricah Hagan, Felicia Slone, Bethany Hickman, Derek Roberts, Stephanie Robinson, Haley Warfel, Kierre Brown, Alex Wilcox, Allyson Meade, Brenden Stipes, Sam Themer, Christina Lynch, Lane Northcutt, and Robert Bosworth. Senior director and choreographer is Toni Holland. The stage manager is senior Meredith Meyer. As the dance instructor at the school in the play says: “You all want fame. Right here is where you start.” Those of us in the FCHS Drama Department say, “You all want entertainment. Right here is where you start: this weekend in the FCHS auditorium.” Comments
