Western Hills’ first-round opponent in the Class 3A football playoffs has changed.

The Wolverines, who finished second in their district, will host Shawnee Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

Shawnee (4-6) had to forfeit two victories because it used players whose eligibility hadn’t been fulfilled.

The forfeit to Moore knocked Shawnee into a three-way tie for second place in its district with Elizabethtown and Moore.
The tiebreaker went to Elizabethtown, which was originally scheduled to play WHHS in the first round Friday. Shawnee finished third in the district with Moore taking fourth place.

E-town, now the No. 2 seed in its district, will host North Oldham Friday.

Why so negative? This is the second article (the other being about Frankfort High) that you have said that the local team will lose. Do you have something against local schools doing well?
