Vivian Tutt Moore, 94, widow of Kelsay Moore, died Monday following an illness. She was born October 24, 1915 to the late Edwin Bird and Daisy Joyce Tutt of Millville. A faithful member of the Frankfort Episcopal Church of the Ascension, Vivian was a 1934 graduate of Millville High School where she served as class valedictorian. She later graduated from the Lexington Business College and then was employed for over 45 years at the Old Taylor Distillery before retiring in 1989. Vivian was an avid bridge player in her younger days and especially enjoyed being around horses such as thoroughbreds, quarter horses and show breeds. A kind and gentle woman, she was loved by all who knew her. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin “B” Tutt and great-niece, Julie Tutt. Survivors include one nephew, Eddie (Sue) Tutt; three great-nieces and nephews, Teresa Tutt, Leslie (Rob Gaines) Tutt and Stephen (Cindy) Tutt; and three great-great-nieces and nephews, Remy Gines, Noah Tutt and Julian Tutt. Other survivors include nieces and nephews of her husband, Kelsay: Marcella (Robert) Southworth, Helen (John) Morrow, Victor Waits, Linda (Terry) Renfrow, Keith (Donna) Waits and Alan Waits. She was tenderly cared for in her declining days by three special caregivers who also loved her much: Beulah Feldhaus, Kim Thompson and Ashley Thompson. Bearers will be John Semones, Winston Rogers, Ralph Barnes, Victor Waits, Keith Waits and Terry Renfrow. Honorary bearers will be Charlie Clark, Bob Clark, Stanley Salchli, Ray Carskadon, Phil Swift, Charlie Hines, Don Hammonds and Ray Reichert. Visitation will be at Rogers Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday. The Rev. Chuck Ellestad will officiate at the services with burial following in the Frankfort Cemetery. Flowers are welcomed while memorial contributions are suggested to either the Episcopal St. Agnes House at 635 Maxwell Ct., Lexington 40508 or the Hospice of the Bluegrass at 208 Steele St in Frankfort.
