BLYTHEWOOD, SC - J.T. Hyatt Jr. went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2009, following a short illness. He was 80 years old.
J.T. is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lillian “Inez” Weed and two children, Shelley Lee Morris (John) of Frankfort, KY and Anthony W. Hyatt (Mary Q.) of Louisville, KY. He was preceded in death by a son, Daryl Lewis Hyatt (Diana) of Frankfort, KY.
J.T. was the son of the late J.T. Hyatt Sr. and Annie Cox Hyatt of Lawrenceburg, KY. He is survived by a brother, Robert Lewis Hyatt of Louisville, KY.
He was a loving family man with eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
Visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2009 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St. Andrews Chapel, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC.
The funeral service will be held at Salem United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday November 7, 2009. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in J.T.’s name to the Salem United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 237, Ballentine, South Carolina 29002.
