FRANKFORT - Jefferson Davis Smith III, 80, passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010.
Mr. Smith was born in Versailles, Kentucky, and was the son of the late Jefferson Davis Smith Jr. and Pearl King Smith. He was a retired farmer and businessman. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Marjorie Joyce Smith, one daughter, Marguerite Smith Bratton, one son, Jefferson D. Smith, IV, two sisters, Dorothy Smith Meyer and Peggy Smith Jones, granddaughters, Laura Bratton and Maranda Smith Richmond, one great grandson, Leland Touchtone, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, at Clark Funeral Home, Versailles Road. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
