Youth baseball and softball registration begins Feb. 15

The Frankfort Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites Department will be taking sign-ups for baseball and softball at the Juniper Hill Pool Office, located at Juniper Hill Park, 800 Louisville Rd., Feb. 15-26 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. each day.


The cost for baseball and softball ages 7 through 12 is $55; baseball ages 13 through 15, $75; and softball ages 13 through 16, $75.


Payment methods include cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard or debit cards.

Online registration will not be available this year. A printable registration form will be available at the Web site for your convenience. 


BONDURANT
BMS baseball tryouts Feb. 12-13

Bondurant Middle School baseball tryouts will be held Friday, Feb. 12, from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. in the BMS gym and Saturday Feb. 13.  On Saturday, sixth-grade tryouts are 9:30 a.m.-11a.m. and seventh- and eighth-grade tryouts are 11 a.m.-12 p.m. at the Western Hills field house.


All Bondurant Middle School students wanting to try out need to sign up in the office and have a sports physical on file or bring one the day of tryouts.

WESTERN HILLS
Football boosters to meet Monday

The WHHS football boosters will meet Monday, Feb. 8 at 6 p.m. in the school library. All parents encouraged to attend.



Football boosters selling mulch
The WHHS football boosters are currently selling mulch through March 26 featuring Nursery Supply Co. LLC products.


Anyone who is interested in purchasing mulch or would like to support WHHS football through this fundraiser, please contact Booster Club president Kim Coubert at (502) 319-5258.



Home Run Club to host cornhole event
The Western Hills Home Run Club will host an indoor cornhole tournament Saturday, Feb. 27, at WHHS.


The entry fee is $40. The tournament will be double elimination, and payouts will be based on the number of teams entered.

Last Man Standing and Follow up tournaments will be dependent on number of entrants. No pros will be allowed.


Sign-up will start at 3 p.m. on Feb. 27, and the tournament starts at 4 p.m.


There will be door prizes and concessions available. Proceeds will benefit the Western Hills High School baseball team.
