Buffalo Trace wins top spots

“Whisky Magazine” named Buffalo Trace Distillery 2010 World Icons of Whisky “Whisky Visitor Attraction of the Year.”

The announcement was made at the annual “Icons of the Industry” dinner held in London, England, Feb. 25.

At the same dinner, the distillery’s George T. Stagg Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey earned the title of “World’s Best Bourbon Whiskey.” This limited edition bourbon comes directly from oak barrels after 15 years of aging.  Uncut and unfiltered, the latest release weighed in at 141.4 proof.

“Wow,” said Bourbon Brand Manager Kris Comstock. “I love Stagg. I think it’s an awesome whiskey. This award really validates the hard work and craftsmanship invested in every whiskey we make at Buffalo Trace. I’m honored that Whisky Magazine has given George T. Stagg such high praise.”
