Franklin County senior Chelsea Craig has been selected to play in the East-West All-Star girls basketball game Saturday in Bowling Green.

Craig was the runner-up in the Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches voting for Player of the Year in the 11th Region. Dunbar’s Ebony Rowe was voted the region’s player of the year.

The player of the year and the runner-up in each region are named to the teams. Craig will be playing for the East team, which is made up of Regions 9-16. The West team consists of players from Regions 1-8.

The all-star game will be played between the semifinal session and the championship game of the girls state tournament Saturday at Warren Central High School. Tip-off is set for 4:15 p.m. (EST).

The East team’s coaches are Pete Fraley of Boyd County and Cindy Stuart of Pikeville. Tim Mudd of Elizabethtown and David Robbins of Central Hardin are coaching the West team.

Craig was the Lady Flyers’ starting post player and averaged 15 points and 10 rebounds per game. FCHS finished the season with a 25-8 record and was regional runner-up.

Great Job Chelsea! One more fantastic player was left out though. Don't forget the great job that Andrea Howard did for the Lady Flyers either.
