The 2010 Franklin County Fair and Horse Show is over at Lakeview Park but it’s not finished here in Your Hometown Newspaper.

We’ve received the results from the Exhibit Hall and will be running them daily through the coming weeks. More results from other shows and events are expected to come in as Fair officials gather their wits about them after a hectic week.

We will be glad to have your good-quality submitted photographs, too, from Fair pageants, shows and other events. Just be sure to identify the people in the pictures and check the spelling of their names.

 “Live” pictures may be submitted in person here at the newspaper, 1216 Wilkinson Blvd. Please include a contact name and address in case questions arise.

Digital submissions may be sent to spectrum@state-journal.com, preferably in JPEG format. We need digital images to be at least two inches wide by three inches tall at 170 dots per inch (DPI), but in general, the larger the better. Pictures will be published at our discretion and we reserve the right to reject those that we feel will not reproduce well.

Those of you who chaired events – from sheep shows to talent contests – are encouraged to get the results to us.

And to you our readers: If you don’t see the results of an event in which you participated or are interested in, please contact the event chair – not the newspaper. We don’t know what happened unless someone tells us and then we’re happy to share that news with all.
