The Juniper Hill Ladies Golf Club held a Blind Partner tournament on Saturday, June 26.
The winners were: first, Fran Terhune and Shirley Dukes; second, Melinda Holbert and Becky Ebert; third, Sue Wood and Donna McNeil; and tied for fourth were Brenda Shipp and Judy Trigg, Julie Dawson and Linda Dailey, and Trish Tyler and Teresa Prather.
>On Monday, July 5, the Juniper Hill Ladies Golf Club held a Flag Net tournament with 40 ladies participating. The winners were:
Championship Flight: first place, Thelma King; second place, Teresa Prather; third place, Billie Lee; fourth place, Donna McNeil.
First Flight: first place, Shirley Dukes; second place, Karen Pilcher; third place, Pam Rhodes; fourth place, Trish Tyler.
Second Flight: first place, Carol Wiard; second place, Patty Conway; third place, Melinda Holbert; fourth place, Mary Rhodes.
>On Saturday, July 17, the Juniper Hill Ladies Golf Club held a Chicago tournament with 35 ladies participating. The winners were:
Championship Flight: first place, Kelsey Lewis; second place (tie), Elaine Butler and Margaret Hanly; fourth place (tie), Becky Ebert and Connie Wiard.
First Flight: first place, Connie Goins; second place (tie), Billie Robinson and Sandra Shelton; fourth (tie), Trish Tyler and Rhoda Shaw.
Second Flight: first place, Melinda Holbert; second place (tie), Vicky Nicholas and Bonita Slattery; fourth place, Dusty Nelson.
Wednesday Ladies Day League
Due to stormy weather, the Wednesday Ladies Day League had a delayed start July 21. After the weather cleared, nine ladies participated in regular league play and eight played in Match Play.
The winners were:
First Flight – Charlotte Nelson, first low gross.
Second Flight – Susan Goins, first low gross.
Third Flight – Fran Terhune, first low gross.
There were no chip-ins, and Audie Rodgers had low putts.

>August away play will be Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Old Bridge Golf Club in Danville.
The sign-up sheet will be on the bar Wednesday for the August away play. If you plan to go, please sign up so we can give a head count of how many women will be playing that day.
Be there at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8:30. The cost is $20 for anyone 55 and over, and for all others the cost is $22. Contact Elaine Butler for more information.
>The August tournament will be the best two rounds (36 holes) in August. Members must have played five times in league play to qualify. See your directory for more details.
>The Juniper Hill Ladies Club Championship will be Aug. 14-15, and the Juniper will be Aug. 18.
>The Wednesday Ladies Day League had 56 golfers participating July 14 with 35 in regular league play and 21 in Match Play.

Kitty Werner had low putts. Those with chip-ins were Kitty Werner, Audie Rodgers, Bonnie Wise, Pat House, Susan Goins and Glenda Wardrip.
Late Swingers
The Late Swingers League had 65 ladies participating July 22.
Division 1
Flight 1A – Tara Taylor, first low gross (scorecard playoff); Megan Kinney, second low gross; Donna McNeil, first low net; Brenda Shipp, first low net.
Flight 1B – Teresa Prather, first low gross; Julie Dawson, second low gross; Audie Rodgers, first low net (SCP); Terry Wilson, second low net.
Flight 1C – Melissa Highfield Smith, first low gross; Susie McDaniel, second low gross (SCP); Peyton Silva, first low net; Susan Spoonamore, second low net.
Division 2
Flight 2A – Patty Conway, first low gross; Tara Parker, second low gross; Betty Ashcraft, first low net; Mary Rhodes, second low net.
Flight 2B – Dionne Fields, first low gross; Pauline Carr, second low gross; Camille Collins, first low net; Debbie Slattery, second low net.
Billie Robinson had a chip-in.
This week will be fun night. Every golfer will play their own ball. The format will be blind draw.
Also, the league tournament begins the first Thursday in August. Each player’s best score from the front and back nines will be combined for the final results, which will be announced at the banquet.
