LOL tabo. I know it wasn't me dear. I wasn't born till '81.

That place does seem to have a haunting charm about it. I dont know why they didnt tear it down if they were jsut going to let it rot

These pictures made me smile. I actually got the most romantic kiss in my life while in front of this house in 1973. But, I must admit...it wasn't from more_cowbell. We stopped after kisses!

But, I do hate to see this house run down. I remember when the lockmasters and their families lived in the two houses that were on the property. We used to go there late on Sunday afternoons and talk to the lockmasters as the boats returned home from weekend trips. Back in those days, they had to open the gates manually by walking out on the gates and turning T-bars. Watching them was really fascinating; the conversation was great; and, the grounds were beautiful.

Thank you for documenting this area with pictures. So much of what I once thought was beautiful in Frankfort is disappearing before my very eyes...

Nice pictures ronaldrthompson1.

Did you happen to take any pics of the trash in the upper level of the lock? I keep meaning to take a camera down there and document the condition of the lock. It is very calming, sitting under the trees in front of the house and watching the water rush over the dam. Too bad such a beautiful view is spoiled by the amount of trash that has collected in the lock. And it doesn't look like the problem will be corrected any time soon.

I actually made love to a woman on the front porch of this house. It was sorta romantic with the water falling off the dam behind us.

Glory days....
