The Sheltowee Trace is 282-mile back country trail through Daniel Boone National Forest, Big South Fork NRRA, and Natural Bridge, Cumberland Falls, & Pickett State Parks in Kentucky and Tennessee.

I rode a mountain bike on a section of this trail around Cave Run Lake a few years ago. At that time, the trail was in pretty bad shape. Too many horses had been on the trail after it had rained.

I have hiked short portions of this trail. I will do the whole appalachian when time and health permit
